Gear S3 Frontier and Galaxy S8 Number Sync not working
Purchase S8 and Gear S3 number sync sets up then disconnects everytime in 5-10 minutes. I want to workout and leave my phone but must get messages, emails and phone calls
I have reset Watch 3 times, been to AT&T store - less helpful, They advertise Number SYnc but not syncing
Any ideas

NumberSync is one of the most convenient services we offer when it is working. I apologize this is not being the case for you. It will be my pleasure to help!
Thank you for letting us know what troubleshooting steps you have already done! It will help narrow the next troubleshooting steps.
One of the steps is to check and make sure the service is turned on via myAT&T. After logging into your myAT&T account, please go to My plans, devices, & features > Manage my devices & features > Manage wearables with NumberSync > Confirm it is set to On.
If you turned it On after the previous step, please go to Settings > Connections > AT&T NumberSync on the watch to see if it will let you set it up or give you the option to turn it on. Here is a great link which has a couple of extra troubleshooting steps to try out.

They had me set up a separate account still linked to the main one to number sync my watch to my phone number. My husband got the Gear S2 and hasn't had this issue thus far. They set his number sync up on the main account since he is the main phone number I guess. Had me set up a second account linking my phone number. I am still having issues with mine disabling every time I walk too far away from my phone. It kind of defeats the purpose considering I like leaving my phone at my desk. We just got these on Saturday, so I guess if I continue to have problems and he doesn't have any I will make the switch to the S2 even though I prefer the look of this one. All of my other notifications continue to come through is what I don't get, just not messages or phone calls. Snapchat, facebook, etc. have been coming through with no issues either in stand alone or on Bluetooth.

His hasn't had an issue...I guess maybe that is my problem then, I am not sure if I have that turned on or not...does that need to be turned on via the phone or my device section on my att account?

When I turn on number sync it causes S Voice to stop working. S Voice can't find any contacts,thus can't make any calls using S Voice. You can go ro contacts and make calls just fine, also use the phone option and it all works. S Voice is dead in the water. I turn off number sync, and SVoice work just fine.
Come on Samsung, please get this stuff fixed.
Also, while your fixing stuff, make it so you can have two gear S3 watches paired to the gear app, and Samsung pay will work with both watches, that the credit cards synced with Samsung pay will work with the paired, powered on watch. Samsung pay will only work the watch that is powered on. This is a very serious problem. They is no need to buy a 2nd Gear watch!

Since the last update my number sync has been turning itself off. I haven't been able to receive any phone calls or messages on my gear s3 frontier even when it says the number sync is engaged. Is there a fix for this or do I just need to wait until the next update and hope that fixes it?
