Apple Watch Setup Cellular Failing

I recently purchased an Apple Watch 5 GPS + Cellular from Best Buy. I am attempting to setup cellular by logging into AT&T and adding the device access (extra $10 each month for my watch to access my data plan). When I do this, I enter in my IMEI and EID, follow the steps, everything seems to be in order, but when I finalize and checkout, I get a message saying an order confirmation will be sent via email, but I never get the confirmation and when I check the order status I get this message: "OM129 : Looks like you placed your order in another channel. Check your confirmation email to find out how to view your order details." I have also tried setting up cellular via the Watch app on my phone. Same thing occurs.

I'm wondering if because of the high volume of customer contact, they are overwhelmed or their system is flooded with requests, but it seems like something like this should be automated? Please let me know if anyone else has experienced issues with setting up cellular.

Thanks for reaching out. From your description, it sounds as if the order to activate the eSIM on the Watch is where we have the hangup. Is this correct?

 

If so, check to see if the email was misdirected to your spam folder. If so, we should be able to get this back n track. If not, please let us know.
