"add a line" for smartwatch
I am planning to buy a smartwatch (Doki), it has a sim card slot and should work with AT&T just like any other unlocked phone. Can I add a line to my AT&T plan for a reasonable price? I heard it is 10usd per month, that is ok, but how does it work? Does it share the same data/phone/text pool as my "main" plan?

Hello @carlfredrikm,
I’m so glad to hear of your decision to add another line of service to support the smart watch! I would be more than happy to provide more information on the expected costs of adding this feature.
Adding a line of service to your plan will be required to provide service to the watch. There is a one-time activation fee for the new line, and the device can be activated immediately. A $10 per month access fee will connect a smart watch to your current data plan, and allow usage to come from your monthly data allotment.
If you determine your current data plan is not suitable and would like to increase your data, please feel free to click here and check out our currently offered data plans. We also offer two Unlimited Data Plans which can support all of your devices.
Please feel free to reach back out if you have any questions or concerns about these plans. Thank you for your time! Have a great day!

Yes. The tax charge for smartwatch may be more like the taxes on your phones,

Why does it cost an additional $8 in "taxes and fees" on a $10 plan?

Everybody has questions about taxes and fees, @movements! Let's look into that for you.
We want to advise that we apply taxes and surcharges to our AT&T wireless service, based on rates determined by federal, state, and local laws.
Learn more by visiting taxes, surcharges, and fees. You'll find details about specific charges including State Telecom Relay Service Surcharge and even Location specifics which you can use to find specific tax rates and charges based on your place of primary use.
We hope this info helps!
