How to select Premium service for each line.

Hi,

 

I switched my plan to the new Premium plan and set up my WatchTV account and selected Pandora Premium as the premium service for my line. I verified with AT&T customer care chat before switching plans that each line would be able to select a premium service (because we have a family streaming music account now and if only one line can get the premium service, then that kind of defeats the point of Pandora's customization if multiple people have to share the same account).

 

My spouse has been unable to select a Premium service though - can someone provide instructions on how each line does that? And if the AT&T customer chat advised incorrectly and it's not possible, can I please get assistance with switching my plan back because it looks like the plan I had is no longer available to choose from.

Hey @jmatthewmckee - if you are on the AT&T Unlimited &More Premium plan, then one WatchTV account can be added for no extra charge. So one WatchTV account for one plan (not for each line in the plan).

 

For more streaming options though:

  • WatchTV can be purchased by itself for $15 a month: WatchTV

And for even more streaming:

 

  • DIRECTV NOW is also an option!. With the unlimited plan you may be eligible for discounts on DIRECTV NOW which offers things like True Cloud DVR (beta), access to network sites and apps, local channels, etc.

You would indeed have to share one Pandora premium account.

@jmatthewmckee - so at the moment, some accounts are having issues adding Pandora Premium to their accounts. Our teams are aware of these issues, and are currently working on a fix!

 

Second, in regards to the type of account, with AT&T Unlimited &More Premium, the Pandora Individual Premium is what is included (not the Pandora Family Premium) - and so that includes things like download the music you want for offline listening, unlimited skips and replays, and listen with no ads.

Thank you. That unfortunately contradicts the guidance the AT&T Chat representative provided before I switched plans yesterday. Are you able to assist me with switching back to my old plan?

Any update on the Pandora issue? I have a Pandora account, I picked the premium Pandora option but see no where on their website on how to redeem?

I tried switching back myself but it looks like the new premium plan replaced the previous version of the plan that was offered without WatchTV. Can you assist with reverting my plan? I only switched because the chat representative said both lines would have their own WatchTV accounts. Thanks.

@ranzaburke -  some accounts are still having issues adding Pandora Premium to their accounts. You should have received an email when signing up for the unlimited plan to sign-in for your premium, but if you are having issues with that, our teams are aware of these issues, and are currently working on a fix!

I was told the same thing when I switched, and my plan is no longer available. It's very misleading. I am hoping that AT&T will offer individual premiums for each line in the future, because honestly you can sign up for a Pandora premium family account for $15 a month, with up to 5 family members. Why pay AT&T $30 for it?
