Spotify is now a premium option, sort of.....

Spotify premium is now a premium option for the unlimited and more plan.

I tried to add this today, however I have to wait 12 months before I am allowed to change my premium option.

I literally just signed up for the unlimited and more plan 2 weeks ago and AT&T will not let me switch to the Spotify option.

This is a real disadvantage for existing customers.  Maybe switching over to the Verizon unlimited plan and getting Apple Music included will be a better choice.

Hello, @Champ80!

Thanks for reaching out! We understand, but you have to keep your current premium for 12 months before changing it. In the mean time, can purchase SPOTIFY PREMIUM for $9.99 per month through WatchTV account management menu/settings.

That's what I was told.  I understand that, but there should be some sort of grace period (like a week, 2 weeks, before you next bill cycle) when someone chooses an option to see what they like so they can make a change if necessary.

Also, if a new service is being added, existing customers should have the ability to switch over without waiting a year.  I already pay for a SPOTIFY PREMIUM subscription.  I was hoping to take advantage of the free SPOTIFY PREMIUM option since I literally just signed up for the unlimited and more premium plan and have not even had my first bill cycle yet, but i can't do that due to the 12 month restriction.

@Champ80 Dont worry they cant even get it working. Its just incompetent false advertising. No one on these forums has gotten Spotify premium working for them through ATT.
