Handshake between Spotify and WatchTV broken

Hello.

 

I upgraded my plan to unlimited SPECIFICALLY to take advantage of the Premium Spotify option that comes along with it. After doing so, the redirection link I received on the site continuously took me to "Page not found". After speaking with a customer service rep, something was done by the rep on the back-end that forced an activation on my ATT account, but nothing was activated on Spotify's side. I have no way of activating the account, and all I receive from reps (I've gone through 5 at this point)  is that this will be addressed within 24-48 hours and I'll receive word via email and phone call. This began 3 weeks ago. I'm reaching my first billing cycle end on this plan and I want an ACTUAL resolution or ETA on this. Going through these forums and posts elsewhere, this is not a new issue, going back as far as a year ago. How a business can put out an offer and have no actual fix for issues that come with it is beyond me. If anyone knows the deal, let me know.

Thanks for reaching back out. Please wait until tomorrow 9/19/20 before trying to verify your account and select your premium just like you did when you first activated your WATCHTV.

I'm having the exact same problem where there is no pop-up to link my Spotify account with WatchTV. I was told it would be fixed in 5 days which it did not so I contacted them again. They said it would take another week and still nothing. I've been waiting for 2 weeks now and I'm getting very frustrated and considered changing my plan.

Ive been waiting over 1.5 months for this to be "fixed" and it still isnt fixed!! The tech support at AT&T is useless and I keep getting a runaround.

Not that I've seen. This seems like it was an issue with some people trying to activate Pandora as well. Have yet to spot a root cause or resolution.

Insanity. Just had Martin the supervisor call me to tell me that there are
ongoing server issues and that they dont know when they are going to be
fixed and that no one could help Me, and hang up on me after “escalating”
my issue.

I have been told over 10 times that my issue has been escalated and would
be resolved shortly. Its been over two months now!

@ATTCares have you private messaged and ACTUALLY helped anyone with this? I find it hard to believe. Its been months and no one has offered to help me or fix this issue.

Alright so the account reset did the trick. I was then able to sign up for Spotify. Maybe kick it out for the others on this thread too ATT? Marking it resolved for me.

I don't think it'll ever be fixed, I've given up at this point. AT&T has no intention to helping their customers.

Having the same problem. I am unable to login to my Spotify account without it giving me the "free" spotify with commercials! So frustrating! My Galaxy Wearable hasn't worked since I got it but there has been no resolution to that either!! Getting sick of AT&T thinking of switching we have been a customer since 1994!

had the same issue for last 2 months. ATT have no idea on how to link my spotify, finally after going through several chat sessions(more than seven) they are doing an hard reset dont know whether this helps or not? Will post back again when i got the answer.

You can easily find a TV box here for yourself SwitchShop. This is a good store where you can order everything and the prices there are reasonable. I tell you.
