Was offered a bundle from Xfinity  internet which included Direct TV service.

Paid Xfinity $136+ .....MY tv IS TURNED OFF by ATT saying' I owe and additional $294.52 for just Direct TV service??  Xfinity say it's not their problem.. ATT will not even speak to me unless I PAY the bill.

What sort of scam is this???  Having to speak with someone in a foreign country  barely understandable has just made things worse, trying to sell me

additional service..     WHO DO I CONTACT WHO WILL LISTEN??  I have zero intentions of paying ATT for the privilege to speak with them???

Call the DirecTV number, not AT&T. Though AT&T owns DirecTV, they have spun them off back into their own company with the new co-owner.

AT&T updated their policy to require past due accounts paid before further assistance. Hopefully the DirecTV side (so calling them directly) did not adopt that restriction.

I include the direct numbers so you don't have transfer issues between DirecTV and AT&T. If you wish to discuss with others in the community regarding DirecTV, their forum has split off as well.

As a note, a bundle doesn't mean combined bill. Usually means you order the other service with an additional discount. So you still pay your internet and TV bills separately. If you do get a combined bill, that may take 60 days to start so you pay them individually in the meantime.

If you entered into a contract with Comcast Xfinity for bundled service that is who you should be calling. If Comcast sold you DirecTv service which is a separate company why would you be calling ATT? You would be paying Comcast for combined billing and Comcast would need to forward required payment to DirecTv. 

Did you have ATT service prior to Comcast?

Did you have an outstanding balance or failed to return equipment to ATT?

It is true if money to ATT is owed no ATT support would be provided till paid.

Note that ATT purchased DirecTv summer 2015 and sold DirecTv summer 2021, over two years ago.

ATT owns direct TV thus the bill.  Apparently there used to be an agreement between Xfinity but someone forgot to tell India or wherever

I was sold this package and now when I call ATT the tell me I have to pay the bill before they will even speak to me about cancelling the bogus serviced??
