U-verse video unstable lately

In recent weeks, the video has been unstable, frequently freezing, pixelating, and generally difficult to watch.  It happens on all channels, on the wired set top/DVR box and on the wireless receivers.  I also get occasional “loss of signal”.  Rebooting gateway does not appear to help.

Do you use your U-verse Internet?  Does it also have trouble at the same times?

Have you checked your Gateway's statistics? (http://192.168.1.254/ Broadband Tab)  Make a screenshot of your stats and paste in a reply.  We can help advise your best route forward.

Either way, he'd be better off calling it into att and have them do a line quality test first, and the if the Uverse TV install involves coax, have the tech deal with that issue.

Thanks for the replies.  I believe at this point I will open a ticket with AT&T.  I was having a problem uploading the stats anyhow in a suitable format.  I captured to a PDF, but could not upload the file here.

thanks again

BTW, I do have att internet (100Mbs), and have had some problems, but not necessarily coincident with the tv problems.

This can probably be closed at this point.

thanks

Try to get a promo for the 1000Mbps internet. It will include HBO Max, which is similar to Netflix. If it's no additional fee (maybe even less) plus you're getting HBO Max...well, don't you deserve something nice?

However...be sure to mark down when the promotions end. Call back a day or two before. They won't remind you, but they will raise your rates high.
