Hi @tony_p27, we'll be happy to help with your U-verse.


To help your system reconnect, sometimes a restart of the equipment is all that is needed.

  1. First, let's restart your U-verse TV Receiver by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds then pressing it and releasing it once more. It will take 5-8 minutes for it to fully reset.
  2. Next, you'll want to restart your AT&T Gateway by unplugging it for 30 seconds. As before, it will fully reset in about 5-8 minutes.
  3. Check out our Troubleshoot and Resolve tool for further steps if the above does not solve the problem. 

If you still need further help, some additional information will help us troubleshoot the problem here.

  • What is the exact error message if any that appears on the screen?
  • How many U-verse receivers do you have and are they all having trouble?

Also, make sure all connections are tight. If it's a wireless receiver, try moving it closer to the WAP.
