U-Verse not available

I'm just seeing the initial U-Verse screen and the message U-Verse is not available at this time. Support claims no outages in my area. Restarting the receiver does not help.

Did you reboot the gateway and then the receiver?

@skeeterintexas I pressed the reset button on my gateway for several seconds and nothing happened. I then unplugged and replugged the power adapter. The gateway flashed for a second, then nothing. The only light on the gateway that remains on now is the one where the ethernet is plugged in.

It sounds like you need a new gateway. 

 

Call CS.  If they determine that you need a new gateway, one can be sent for a self-install.  You have 60 days to return the bad one via UPS or FedEx.
