Use our help and solutions guide to troubleshoot the U-verse app, @Geerae

Try these suggestions:

  1. Restart the phone
  2. Delete the cache
  3. Uninstall and reinstall the app
  4. Verify that you have the latest software/operating system on your phone
  5. Turn off other apps that may be in use
  6. Restore the phone (you may lose pictures and other data)

Let us know if this helped or if you still need assistance.

I’ve tried the troubleshoot tool and no results appear related to my question.
The screen not rotating when I’m watching U-verse tv is a new problem.
Please provide actual reference help, sending me to support or a bot does not help resolve the problem.
Thank you!

Hello, @Geerae . Thanks for reaching back out to us with that information.

Have you recently had any updates to your device? If so, this may have interfered with the previous settings on you device. First, we need to make sure auto rotate is enabled.

  1. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your screen to open Control Center.
  2. Tap the Portrait Orientation Lock button to make sure that it's off.
  3. Turn your iPhone sideways.

If this does not resolve the issue, please respond back and let us know if only the U-verse app is not going into portrait mode or if this is happening on other apps as well.

Only the U-verse app doesn’t rotate.

Me too…I have the same issue. It is beyond annoying. All other apps rotate. This only happens with the U-verse app.

App works on IPad but not on IPhone. Why can’t this be fixed?

What I had to do was go into setting, click on display and turn off my larger text button and go back to standard view. Once the screen rebooted I did a hard reset on my phone and then it I was able to get the screen to rotate on my phone. I believe it was the last update that screwed things up. Hope this helps
