Maybe because you're not on a tier that provides Fox News?

What service level do you have?  What channel are you trying to view it on?  Or are you using an app?  If an app, what error are you getting?

Are you talking about the Fox News streaming app?

We're here to help @SEEFELD.

As the Ace's stated please provide us with the current package that you have or is this related to the streaming app. Please let us know. Looking forward to your reply.

Well, I don't exactly know.  I log into my computer and then I go to Fox News "watch live", .  A reply comes back and says,"I'm sorry, your AT&T U Verse does not allow this application.  I thought that my U-Verse allowed me to watch TV on my computer.  What am I paying for, if not being able to access different networks?  Sometime if I am watching TV, (I have Roku and no cable) I can find Hallmark, etc. and they will give me a code to access their channel. I choose my connection as AT&T U-Verse, I put the code in my computer, but again, it says, "Sorry, you AT&T U-verse account does not allow  you to view this content".

Hello @SEEFELD

You mentioned that you did not have cable service and you only have Roku, do you not have U-verse TV service? This could be the issue if you only have U-verse internet then this would not give you access to TV services such as Hallmark or Fox news. If you do have TV service than we can continue troubleshooting.

Your paper bill will have the name of your current TV package or logging into your account online will also show the name of your package. Knowing which package you have may help us get this figured out.

In the meantime we may want to try the following.

  • Check if programming will work on a different web browser
  • Clear history
  • Clear cache and cookies
  • Make sure you are not using any saved login information
  • Make sure your browser is up to date
  • Make sure your computer is up to date

We hope this helps @SEEFELD, please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

@SEEFELD , as AT&T Help said...  having a Video service (such as AT&T U-verse TV) grants you the rights to view content in some way, including video streaming.  If "all you have" is AT&T Internet service, then you do not get the rights the video service would grant you.

That would cover ESPN, Fox News, etc., etc.

It's a follow the money exercise: Who pays Fox for you to view Fox's product?  Your Internet service doesn't pay Fox.  Your VIDEO service (if you have it) pays Fox.  If you don't have Video Service, then AT&T isn't paying Fox for you to view it, so you can't.

@SEEFELD   Do you have Uverse TV service?  If so, what package level do you pay for?  U200?  U300?  U450?

If you only have AT&T Internet, that does not give you access to paid TV networks that the rest of us pay for.

Are you watching Roku Channel or the Fox News app via Roku? If it's the Fox News app, you have a login username and password for Roku to connect there.

If it's Roku Channel, it may not be possible.
