Tell AT&T U-Verse to remove Pornography from their search listings!
We have 4 and 8 year old children who frequently do searches for thier favorite shows in the Guide/Search area of our AT&T U-Verse DVR. If our boys are looking for their show 'Teen Titans GO' they also find, with Pornography listed first, 'Teen XXXX',
We called AT&T to notify them of this issue, our concern and the importance of locking down this feature (either through a parental control or harder to reach area). We were reassured AT&T would research this and we would receive a call back...we never received the call back.
We feel strongly that children should not be subjected to this kind of pornography and AT&T (as well as the other cable providers) should protect our children from this language.

You need to implement the parental controls on your set-top boxes. Please do the following:
1. Menu -> Options -> Parental Locking.
2. Enter your 4-digit PIN (or create a new one if you haven't entered one before).
3. On the right are 6 different parental control options. They work as follows.
Be aware that the parental controls and PIN codes are set per set-top box, so you will have to do these steps on each set-top box. This can be advantageous, because a box dedicated to the kids can be set in a stricter fashion, while another dedicated to parents can be set more lenient.

Thanks...the last time we checked the adult option was not present or it was not specific to the search listings...sounds like it has been expanded; thanks again.

Yup, using the Search feature on the remote does bring up some rather embarrassing results (and I'm not easily embarrassed). That is one feature that should default to blocked (i.e., must be enabled to see it).

The Adult option has always been available, but in previous versions of the set-top box firmware, it was not on the first screen of parental controls. Instead of all 6 parental control options being on the first screen, only the first 4 were on the first screen, and you had to scroll down to see the other 2, which included the Adult option. There was also no indication that there was a second screen, so many people missed the Adult lockout.

I like adult content and think it should be available to AT&T Uverse customers. AT&T has options to filter adult content. If you don't want to see adult content, simply turn on the filters. Don't try to restrict the content of those customers, like me, who enjoy watching adult content.

Calm down - maybe you have an icy cold Coca Cola in the fridge, to help relax you? At any rate - no one is trying to take away your God Given right to watch adult content. All controls are fully optional. Enjoy!

YES! I was completely disturbed myself when I went to search for a regular show and found myself staring at a huge list of disgusting porn titles . I found this post because I am looking for a way to hide porn titlaes I too have children 17,12 and 6 and NONE of us want to be subjected to that . A previous com pay allowed us to go into parental options and hide these titles , is this an option ??? I can't believe that everywhere we look porn is in our face 😞

Kellee, did you follow the instructions in SomeJoe7777's post that was marked as the accepted solution for this thread? It should do what you asked.
