SHO-TMC-FLIX has Disappeared from UVerse 300 On Demand
I've had UVerse 300 for 10 years and on 8/15/20 I no longer could access SHO-TMC-FLIX OnDemand MOVIES in Standard Definition. I still have access to SHO OnDemand Series & Sports & New ... but the OnDemand MOVIES have disappeared. I can still access SHO Movies in the Guide Section ... the ones that AT&T has decided schedule for different times ... so that proves the SHO SD signal is still coming through. I have called AT&T so many times, talked with several techs and even had one come out to my house ... but nobody has even heard of this problem until I saw it posted in a Google Forum.. so I am NOT the only one. It is an internal AT&T problem they need to fix on their end ... it is NOT an equipment problem, Thought I would try and post here to get somebody's attention.

Aso ... if AT&T decided to change what channels they were offering with the On Demand Premium SHO-TMC-FLIX Standard Definition Channels that customers are being charged for additionally ... government regulations dictate that we must be notified in advance (multiple times) that we were losing those channels. Trying to tell us over the phone that it is now only available for HD customers would be illegal ... which I am sure they know. (That is how Class Actions Suits start) The techs just don't know what else to say ... but this can't be true. I hope AT&T gets this fixed soon.

Programming announcements are posted on or about the third Tuesday of each month at http://programmingchanges.att.com as well as on this forum. I believe they're also mentioned in the bill and in USA Today.
Did your programming package change? I still see those channels in my U-300.

We are here to help with your channels, @gailb97,
We do notify customers as @baseballisback stated. You can find out more from the link they provided.
Double-check your channels settings. It may have been hidden.
Let us know if this helps.

I am having the same issue. I have been put on hold while both customer service for customer loyalty and tech support have conferred with their back office and come back to tell me they don’t have an answer. Someone at AT&T needs to be notified at the top of the ladder to get this problem resolved. I am paying for this service and I expect to get it or pay less.

By the way I have been a customer since 2011. Flux always had on demand broken out by decade starting in 70,80,90 and the rest. They had over 100 movies you could choose to watch. TMC also had on demand broken down by standard and HD. They do not show up at all now. All you see is:
Showtine-TMC-Flix>
when you click on it all you see is:
Showtime On Demand HD>
and when you click on it you only set all the shows and series related to Showtime.
My channels are not hidden On Demand. Definitely an AT&T technical problem!

A lot of the channels are moving content onto their own apps. If you don't see something via "on demand" check out the relevant app.
Showtime definitely has an app for Firestick, Roku, AppleTV and other such devices. In addition, you can "cast" or "AirPlay" from another device such as a mobile device or laptop.

Uverse as a content aggregator was useful 10 years ago. Now every network has gone app and delivers their own on demand content and typically offers more than what Uverse had anyway. So long as the subscription provides access to the network apps, it has value. But it the networks start paywalling everything behind their own subscriptions like CBS/Viacom did, Uverse becomes much less relevant.

Gr8sho -- I agree to an extent. If you want to watch live sports, you still (in most cases) need a subscription to channels like CBS Sports Network, TNT, ESPN or your RSN. You can only get those on apps via a subscription to a TV provider that has those channels. (At one point, the internet had to be with the same company, but I'm not sure that's still true.)
Yes, outlets like ESPN+ have some different presentations of big games, but as for right now, this really doesn't work in all cases. I am aware of people who paid for ESPN+ to watch the College Football Playoff via the SkyCam or whatever because they didn't have "regular" ESPN.
Take something like HBO Max. You can get it complimentary via certain U-Verse subscriptions, pay for it separately or even subscribe to "regular" HBO and get it in some cases. In this case, a TV subscription wouldn't be needed. Someone could live fine with U-200 and 1000Mbps internet.

The internet access is important but fiber is lacking in many areas, Uverse is watched over old copper phone lines. So there’s that. Alternatives though are scarce.
Perhaps the allocation of dollars to which companies is what’s changing.
Once local OTA starts transmitting in 4K, that will be another consideration.
