SEC Network+ on ESPN app

I have a UVerse package that includes both ESPN and SEC Network. When I go to view streaming sports on the ESPN app on my XBOX One, I can view ESPN3 content but get an error message when I attempt to view SEC+ content. I don't understand why given I have the SEC network with UVerse. Is this a pay extra issue like it is for ESPN+??

Hi There @mrmr909020

We understand that you are getting an error, when you try to watch the SEC+ content through the ESPN app. Now according to the information that we have the SEC+ is complimentary with your ESPN subscription.  There is no need to pay any thing for it. What is the error that you are getting?

I’m having the same problem.  I can watch the ESPN channels through the Watch ESPN app, but I cannot watch the SEC Network or SEC Network+ channels through the app.  The error I receive is “This channel is not part of your TV package.”  I do subscribe to the SEC network; I’m watching it right now through my TV.  This problem just started the last few days.  Up until then, it worked fine.

I can’t watch anything on the ESPN App since switching to U-Verse from Xfinity (which worked great with ESPN App). I have the U300 package That includes all ESPN channels. I receive the message about it not being part of my package. I’ve been with U-verse about 3 weeks and have never been able to stream any games on ESPN App. This is discouraging.

Unable to view SEC network on my iPad since Dec. 5. Just got off the phone with AT&T customer service. Was told there was a network outage with third party providers and at&t is working on it. I am not happy at all.

Same problem here.  I can watch ESPN content but not SEC or SEC+ content.  I get an error message " channel is not part of your tv package or authorization error" this used to work fine.  Please fix this problem! Thanks!

How can I get access to SEC+ channel on the ESPN app? It says it’s not part of my package.

I am having this issue as well with either “you are not authorized to watch this content” or “not a part of your subscription” error messages, with only SEC Network or SEC Network+ channels on the WatchESPN app. I can watch SEC Network on my tv without issue.

Where is your response? Where is your follow-up? It's December 19th!

To clarify, I am having this same issue. Unfortunately for you guys, I'm fed up with the lack of ATT customer support and my account just happens to be expiring. You picked a great time to remind me how unreliable you are.

Can't watch the SEC Network on: Opera Browser (Win10), Chrome Browser (Win10), Galaxy S9+ using ESPNs apps, FireTV using ESPN app. I'm having to watch my game on my phone through the uverse app while the huge TV sits unused. Depending on the method, I get different errors: user not authorized; channel isn't part of my package.

Garbage.

I am having the same issue. Looks like several are having this problem with no response from ATT over a course of several days. What is the value of this community if you can’t get help resolving your problem?

Same problem here.  AT&T customer service rep on the phone was completely unhelpful.  He told me I needed to contact ESPN.  Why can we not receive the content we’re paying for, and why is it taking so long to resolve the problem?  This is the only way we can watch SECN+ content.

Unfortunately, I am having the same problem, although after working with AT&T tech support, now its worse!  Now, instead of only not being able to view SEC content, now I am locked out of ALL content on the app.  I chatted with AT&T tech support and they supposedly "made some changes" on their end, and now my situation is worse.  I have been on the phone with 3 reps today who seem completely lost in trying to fix the problem.  It was supposedly escalated again and they are supposed to call me back.  Very frustrated right now. Would be nice if someone would respond to this thread with some solutions.

I am still having the same issues, you would think that AT&T would just save everyone some time and just tell us that U-verse just isn’t going to work with any apps. I mean come on....this is obviously a rampant issue. Yet, the customer reps always act surprised that I’m calling about having problems. They’ve even tried to put the blame on the apps themselves until I tell them it is every app I try....

My experience with U-verse has definitely been subpar compared to Xfinity. Both with service and with the product itself. However, it is also much cheaper than Xfinity so I guess I’ll just deal with the ineptness...for now...

I have been having the same issue and after several calls to ESPN+  and Direct TV, I finally solved the issue myself.  I was logged into both my Direct TV account and my ESPN account at the same time.  I logged out of my ESPN account and it worked immediately.

Good luck to all.
