Red x and cannot get to "tv"

I held power button for 10 seconds and didn't work. 

Then checked cords and tried unplugging power and nothing. 

Then held down arrow  ok button and power button and nothing.

Sounds like you need a new STB (or DVR). 


Call Customer service 1-800-288-2020.  A new receiver can be sent for a self-install.  If this is your DVR, you will lose your recordings but not your schedule.  You have 60 days to return the bad one via UPS or FedEx.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.
