Reboot at 2am and 3am

Has their been a solid answer why this issue is happening to ALL of us? I think it's fair to say that not every customer needs a tech to come out and fix something.  This is a defect that needs to be rectified. Why is there a reboot?   There are other companies out there that don't require a reboot- although they have their own issues.  I would like a solid answer and I'm sure everyone else who has complained on multiple forums would like to know why this is going on (I've seen the glossy responses of call tech support)  I refuse to hear that it's a modem and wireless.  There needs to be a way that you can set a time for the system to reboot or override it.  Saying sorry for your issue, please call support is not going to cut it.  This is just a plea from all customers that change is needed. While we are on the subject it is 1:03am and my TV just stopped my recording with "Recording playback is unavailable.  Make sure this TV receiver and the DVR are connected to the network.  What on earth happened between 1:02 to 1:03am that I need to run around checking everything?
