What causes this? I have no picture, just a garbled mess

Was everything working at some point? If so & the problems just started, try restarting your devices by unplugging your TV, gateway, DVR, WAP (if you have it) and the receiver(s). Then, reconnect the gateway and allow it to fully restart, followed by the DVR, the WAP (if you have one), each receiver one by one, then your TV. Let us know the results.
