Overscan with the Uverse DVR

I have my TV set for full pixel.  The Uverse DVR picture is slightly larger than the TV display, and the edges, such as special weather notifications, are cropped off the top, bottom, left, and and right.  I use several video sources and types and the Uverse DVR is the only one that has had this problem in several years.  I have checked all settings on the DVR and the TV.  What are the problem and the solution?  Thanks.

1. Is this s new problem, or have you always had this problem with U-verse?

Always. Only with U-verse. Never with any other signal or service.
2. How is the U-verse receiver connected to your TV?

a) Coaxial cable

b) Composite cables

c) Component cables

d) HDMI cable

HDMI cable.

3. Are you seeing this problem on SD channels, HD channels or both?

HD. SD channels are fully visible and have a narrow black margin on full screen. But I almost always watch HD channels and almost never SD channels.

Thanks

Sounds like your input connection should not cause an issue.

Check the Zoom setting on your picture:

1. From the remote,  press the ENTER (ZOOM) button in the lower right hand corner

2. Make sure the selection is set to Normal.

You say you have checked all the settings.

The most likely cause of the problem you describe is the zoom setting. The button is bottom right. Zoom is the fourth item on the menu. Make sure it is set to normal.

what happens when you try other values?

Are the menus the correct size?

What is the model number of the TV?
