Large vertical colored bars when watching TV

OK here we go again. Fox News is not on Uverse again. No other channel has these problems. Newsmax and OAN got dropped recently over "business decision". ATT need to fix these "technical difficulties" or start losing subscribers.!

There is no such thing as coincidences.

Nope....there are were other channels not working.  There were more earlier but they are back.

ETA:  Fox News is back albeit the transmission seems wonky.

Shoutout to everyone who can remember their childhood phone number but can't remember the password they created yesterday.  You are my people.  😊

Fox News channel has colored vertical bars (1210). However Fox Businell network (1211) is working fine.

Started last evening 2/8 around 6:00pm.

Fox News was off the air for a bit yesterday....apparently during the time your DVR was recording.  🥴🥴🥴

Apparently Faux Spews viewers haven't heard of forum etiquette.

....like checking for posts that might offer an explanation?  Surely you jest.  🙄

Looking at the numerous posts asking for information, it seems some people are actually "checking for posts that might offer an explanation." The problem is two-fold: (1) there is no "sticky" message that prominently displays any relevant information, and (2) the same stupid replies y'all give on every single post makes it extremely difficult to get to the heart of the matter.

And @baseballisback , your first reply to this message is confusing! First off, who (in this thread) are you referring to?  "Faux Spews?" "forum etiquette?" Perhaps you meant to reply to a different message.

I live in Florida, and when I see Fox News blacked out and color bars instead, all I can think about is CENSORSHIP. Anyone follow the Twitter file stories??

Beware what you wish for. Today it's Fox News, tomorrow it can be MSNBC in the name of "income equality!!!"

I have U-verse fiber optic in my neighborhood--if you like Fox News, it is not a positive. AT&T U-verse seems to have a bias against Fox News!! I do not buy the excuses given above. Only (Edited per community guidelines) Fox News seems to going down. Every effort is pushed to make it difficult to watch Fox News. Rebooting every day??!! Who wants to do that??? Think this is a "CRAZY" comment? Just look at what was going on at Twitter-- (Edited per community guidelines) comments were being edited out due to The FBI and the Biden administration wanting a cover up of "bad news". Censorship is here folks....

OK, let's modify the conspiracy "theory" to just plain crappy service. As you know Uverse is on it's way out, no more set top boxes are being manufactured, the support hotline is overseas "help desk" (spent 2 hours on the phone with them tweeking my box), and the new gee whiz cable service from ATT is DirectTV Streaming. Uverse is obsolete and ATT is not investing any more money just for us hold-outs that won't switch to Direct.

Since ATT treats us like mushrooms (kept in the dark, fed only manure), I fully expect to wake up one morning  and Uverse is down for good.
