Is there a U-verse app for Roku & Apple TV

Is there any timeline for the app to be available on Roku, Apple TV and anything other than Amazon Firestick?  I was told by my rep that the app was available and that I would be able to stream all my local channels. Neither of which is true. So disappointed, probably going to eat the fees to break the contract. So wrong.

I agree with this request as well. Why would you not be actively developing for the common devices, as mentioned above?

or... Since we already have U-Verse, why not allow us to use DirecTv Now?

Personally, I’d like to see this available for the AppleTV.

The only cable apps on Roku are Comcast and Charter.  The Uverse app is on Fire TV.  But no app for Charter or Comcast.  So you have to buy the streaming box that has your TV app.  Myself I have both Roku and Fire TV.

I was wondering about this same issue.  Hope that ATT will produce an app for Roku soon.  In the meantime, I believe you can screen mirror your smart phone or laptop (with the U-verse app) on your tv.  I think it’s a work around?  I also read reviews that U-verse app for fire stick is not very user friendly...

Oh ATT... you continue to disappoint. We will be switching to Charter as soon as our contract is up.

Even without the U-verse APP on Roku TV, you CAN connect your U-verse set top box directly to your Roku TV.  My U-verse works great with both of my Roku TVs - using an HDMI cable to connect each TV to a set top box.

The only trouble I had was that, at first, I had coax everywhere - and as soon as I installed the first Roku TV, my U-verse picture became impossible to watch due to major hanging and freezing. My U-verse installer (who was there to install AT&T Fiber) fixed everything by eliminating all of the coax cable.  He said the smart TV's send some kind of signal back thru the coax line, causing interference.  So he put Ethernet coming into the house and from the gateway to the main DVR box, and replaced the other wired receivers with wireless ones.  He used HDMI cable to connect each TV to its set top box.  Now everything is working great: my U-verse picture looks great on the smart TVs (even on SD channels, which I use for the DVR recordings to save space) - and looks great on the non-smart TV, too.

See my reply above (or below) about connecting your TV straight to your U-verse set top box and eliminating all coax cable.

Funny, I was told the exact same thing.  I relied on that when it was time to switch because I have Roku on 5 TV’s.  That sort of information, whether intention or not, has gotten this relationship off to a poor start.

For those new to Uverse TV, welcome.

ATT has numerous products for TV and continues to create more.  When it comes to Uverse though, what you’re buying is what you can see and touch.  There is no active development of new features for this platform, and no amount of asking or even shaming is going to change that.

As for the comments regarding Amazon Fire TV, we’re fortunate to have it.  However I’d also point out it’s not too difficult to use your subscription to sign in to the native broadcasters app. Perhaps not ideal solution, but it does work.  For example, we watched GoT on AppleTV via HBO GO rather than using anything from Uverse app or settop box.
