How long does it take to upgrade my U-verse TV package?

I spoke with a rep who upgraded me from u-family to u-300. She said it should take about 10 minutes or so for the channels to start working. Its been a couple hours now but still only the u-family channels show. I checked online and it says the order is pending with a completiom date of today at the end of the day? I spoke with 2 other representatives, one said it would be ready in 30 minutes. I waited the 30 minutes with no results so I spoke with someone again and I was guaranteed that I would be running by midnight and it’s past midnight. Does anyone know when my package will be upgraded?

Reboot your dvr (pull plug for 15 secs.).

I actually did that after reading one of the posts here and it didn’t work. It finally upgraded but it took several hours, not sure why but I’m not complaining.

Every once in a while, it *does* take a bit of time for the ordering information to go through the system.

 

This is why whenever there's a big PPV event or the debut of a new show, don't order it right before it starts...order it 2-3 days before that day.
