Does Uverse have an equilvalent to DirecTv double play?

I am a new user to Uverse, and I wanted to see if there is an easy way to switch back and forth between two shows with the ability to rewind both shows.    DirecTv and Dish both have ways to do it, which is great for sporting events.   I can watch one game, then switch to the next and see if someone scored.   Then I can rewind back and then see what happened.

I assume one way to do it is to record both games/shows in the DVR, but is there an easier way?

Thanks!

The only option is to record both programs.

snowcat- With the new whole house DVR phase 3 an additional tv will keep the second buffer alive. If you want to keep two games alive you will need three TVs - two for buffers and one to watch.

Of course, you have to rewind to go back to where you left off. If you record, as Texasguy says, When you go back to the recording, you pick up where you left off.

I believe the last button does not let you toggle between two recordings. So, the best way is to have two visible TVs to simulate PIP. You can use the last button to flip between a live game and a recording game on one TV and leave the other TV on the live game.

Of course, the STBSs both respond to same remote, so you need to set up the second TV and hide the STB or get a RF remote for that STB.

Thanks for your answers.   I do have three TVs, though I really don't want to use them all up just so I can swap between games.  I will try recording both programs and then delete the recordings when finished.

You don't have to leave the two tvs on, just the two stbs.  Leave them tuned to the other two channels and turn the televisions off.  At 8 hours of no interaction the other two stbs will go into standby mode.

The real issue is no it doesn't.  It doesn't even treat the primary buffer as Directv does. If the box is off - no buffer.  With Directv you could set a station - turn if off and as long as you got back within the 90 minute buffer time - turn on the box and watch the whole buffered event.

1 of thousands of Directv features that UVERSE doesn't have.

There are a lot of work arounds that people will talk about but feature rich UVERSE isn't.  Record everything and then manage it yourself seems to be the answer for all
