Cooking Channel error on Uverse
Hello!
I'm noticing that whenever I watch Cooking Channel (channel 456) on Uverse 200, the channel cuts out and it's like the DVR receiver turns off and on. There is an error message that comes up, but it flashes by so quickly, I'm unsure of what it says. This is the only channel it happens on. The TV is a Vizio 43" 1080p LED TV (D43-C1). I checked behind the TV and the receiver and made sure the HDMI cable was secure (which it is). What could be causing this, and why only on this specific channel? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Update: Even after rebooting the box, the issue persists. This box houses our DVR and my dad is considering calling for a replacement. My next question is: if we replace this box, will my mom's recordings, scheduled programs, etc be lost? Help would be greatly appreciated for any of these issues. Thank you. 🙂

If you replace the DVR, your recordings will be lost but not your scheduling.

I want to thank you for your help. How do I contact support to get the DVR replaced? My parents would like to do it either via chat or e-mail as we're out of town for family things. 😞 Do you have any idea if there is a cost involved since this would be a replacement? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Call CS at 800-288-2020. One will be sent for a self-install. You have 21 days to return the old box.

I've had weird issues with Cooking Channel and Food Network for awhile now. Those two channels will skip and/or stutter at times.

It shouldn't cost anything since they pay the monthly $10 equipment fee.
