Channels options - Can I pick the channels I want?

Hello!

I recently had u verse internet installed and had a question about u verse TV. Is it possible to get digital TV service and pick the channels you want? I would only want local channels and maybe 5 other channels such as national geographic and investigation discovery. I do not watch TV much other than for local weather, news and two or three network stations so I don't see the point in paying for 100+ channels when I only watch 5. Most of which I could pick up with an antenna.

As with all providers, you must choose a level that best suits your needs.  There are 5 levels with Uverse: Basic/Family/U200/U300/U450.

See all levels and channel lineups HERE

Nat Geo and Investigation Discovery are both available on U200.  HD is available at $10 month.

No, it is only the technology that is forward looking. The marketing is the same old cable model.

But, be patient, as streaming is embraced the cable model will have to follow & it is the u-verse technology that most closely resembles internet streaming.

Of course, be prepared to be shocked by the overhead cost to deliver the first channel. Currently spread over the great unwashed.

I believe Verizon FIOS recently announced more choices. But it appears to be smaller packages. Not down to one at time, yet. No savings when you need three packages to get the dozen stations you want.
