can I download the Uverse app onto my mother-in law's tv to watch my DVR over Thanksgiving?

I would like to be able to watch shows on my dvr while out of town.  can I download the app to my mother-in-law's TV, log in and watch my DVR'ed shows?

No.  Remote access to recordings has never been an option.  You CAN access live programs & On Demand content.

The Uverse app is only available to mobile devices like phones & tablets.

Don't mess with old people.  The older we get, the less "Life in Prison" is a deterrent.

I would suggest a Slingbox.

Actually, the U-verse app does also work on FireTV devices.  Still will not get you remote access to recordings, but will allow you watch some channels live and provide access to some on-demand content.

So, if the content you record is also available on demand, that may be an option for you.  If the content you're recording is local over-the-air, there are several potential solutions that don't involve U-verse.
