Poor Video Quality
Hi there. I'm trying to watch something on HBOMAX, but the video quality is absolutely terrible - sometimes it reaches 720p, but most of the time, it's around 140p or something, it's unwatchable. I'm using chrome without any kind of VPN on, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with my internet connection. I can load 4k videos on YT with no issues what so ever, so I have no clue what the issue is with HBOMAX. Furthermore, I can easily stream things on Netflix with no issues.
If you have any idea as to what might be the problem, then please help me out.
Edit: It doesn't seem to be a problem anymore, so it was most likely an issue on HBO's side of things.

Im personaly on a 500/500 Mbit fiber connection, testing 2ms delay and 520mbit down and 530mbit up.. Tried difrent browsers, and even another computer as the issue is here.. There is alot of fuzz on https://www.reddit.com/r/HBOMAX/ about the issue aswell. Im not an AT&T customer, but found this thread after searching for my issues online.
It seems like the issue started around 3days ago for most people after the launch of season final of Euphoria where HBO Max had a server crash due to the load.
After that they changed some priority options on theyr system that seems to be affecting the the CDN Content Delivery Network, depending on you ISP you might get a good one or a bad one.. I tried it through VPN, and then it worked perfectly as I recon its uses another CDN service with lesser load..
Cheers

Got this mail from HBO today:
Not to sure about the facts here as people had issues with other then Microsoft products, but perhaps it was their MS servers or something.. They atleast admit atleast its not user error for most people.
There is also a passaround on the problem if you use Firefox or Crome, the soulution was to open the dev console (f12) and disable chashe and also change the throtteling settings up.. That worked with me after meddeling around a bit..
Cheers

But what you are talking about is the same problem that many people are having. So we have to find an effective way to fix it so as not to affect our video quality.
