Now it hit me, too. Your HBO max subscription through AT&T has expired.

I got the dreaded

Your HBO max subscription through AT&T has expired.

hoping ATTHelp can fix this?

Asking for raise of the issue/escalation and ticket number.

please do not respond with copy/paste including instructions for eg iPhone that do not apply.

I tried across multiple platforms including Xbox.

and yes I tried all permutations of signing off clearing cache and whatnot.

Which service was providing access to HBOMax:  UverseTV?....Wireless (cellphone) Account?....Internet account?

Internet account. I know new accounts don’t get it anymore. But legacy accounts should still have it.

why do you ask though.

I think it needs someone who has AT&T systems access to take action.

i don’t think there is anything I can do on my end.

This is a customer populated forum and NOT a way to contact AT&T.  I do know how to Google.

From the website

Internet

If you purchased Internet 1000, 2000, or 5000 within these date ranges, you received access to HBO Max at no extra charge.

Service Speed Tier Date Range
AT&T Fiber Internet 1000 5/27/2021 to 6/5/2022
AT&T Fiber Internet 2000 9/20/2021 to 6/5/2022
AT&T Fiber Internet 5000 9/20/2021 to 6/5/2022

This promotion ended for AT&T Fiber on June 5, 2022. You must use your access to HBO Max to keep your eligibility for this promotion. If you don’t, your HBO Max promotion may be expired.

@ATTHelp may or may not chime in.

Let's see why you're getting this HBO Max error message, @AndiCustomer.

Like @skeeterintexas said, depending on when you signed up for fiber and when you claimed your HBO Max subscription, you may no longer be eligible.

When did you sign up for fiber, and when did you first try to claim your subscription? If this isn't the reason, please let us know, so we can take a closer look at your account to see why the service isn't working.

I used it almost weekly.

so definitely claimed. It just stopped working this morning.

also listed in my account.

For personal information please have someone contact me directly.

if you check online forums you find enough entire that HBOMax was available way before the listed dates btw. (People talking about activating it).

but either way, I had access, my account still shows that I have it as part of my internet package, and yet it’s not working.

Let us know if any changes were made to your account recently, AndiCustomer.

HBO MAX is available as long as you don't move or make any changes to your plan. You can find that information at the top of our help and solutions article for HBO MAX.

@ATTHelp no changes to my plan have been made. There is however a possibly PENDING change, but that was not executed and given this information, I will not have it executed.

Reason for the pending change: AT&T (or third party?) sales rep at Costco making all sorts of promises to upgrade to 2G/5G speed (such as very high amount of gift cards, promises of a lower monthly fee because of my age, promises of free multi-gig in-house switches).
But since then I was told that the sales rep was likely lying, the install will not be happening, the plan is still the old plan. As said, please have someone look into this and contact me directly to fix this.

Working with @ATTHelp on it. Apparently the way they did it would remove HBO Max. So the pending change will be cancelled but then I should be able to re-register. Will report updates.

I signed up for ATT Internet (Fiber 500) that that included HBO MAX in 2017, I streamed HOB weekly as time permitted, then moved in Feb 2023, staid with ATT and upgraded to 1G (Fiber 1GIG) with HBO Max Included.  Sure enough after moving I am not able to access HBO even though the representative assured me it would and... It's listed on my bill as "Internet 1000 (Fiber 1 GIG) Stand-alone
HBO Max included".  ATT is telling me they'll escalate but they don't know if they can help. I'm pretty confused and upset.  Anyone else out there having a similar issue?
