DirectTV remote to get to HBO Max

Hbo max is a streaming service it has nothing to do with directv

Well that actually depends on what Directv service and equipment you have. The set top box that is available with Directv Stream I believe also has the HBO Max app so you should be able to launch that app with your remote. Now if you have Directv satellite service, you don’t access HBO Max through your receivers, so the Directv remote doesn’t help with HBO Max. You only have access to the HBO Satellite channels and HBO on demand. HBO Max requires a streaming device.
