Cannot connect to MAX

I have an Unlimited Plan, including Max. Until a few weeks ago, I had no problem connecting to Max through the Max ATT link, but now (on my TV and computer) it says that I don't have access through my plan. My son's iPhone can sometimes connect but sometimes not. What can I do to make a reliable MAX connection?

Hey Bobfal, we understand that you're having trouble logging into your MAX account. Let's get the help you need.


Here are few troubleshooting steps that you can follow:

  • Find the MAX tile on the service list and click "Getting Started" or "Continue Streaming."
  • This will open the MAX page, and you will have to click "Sign in" in the upper right corner of the screen.
  • Select "Sign in with a provider." and choose AT&T from the list of available providers.
  • You will either be rerouted back to login for AT&T to verify your credentials or it will process through, and you'll now be logged in.


If the above mentioned steps were successful we can work on the steps mentioned below:

  • Sign out of your MAX and re-install the app to ensure that you have the latest app version.
  • Sign into your AT&T account and set up MAX again when prompted to. Look for 'Activate MAX' tile, to activate MAX before singing in.
  • Reset your AT&T Password and ensure that you log into MAX using the correct user ID and password associated with your qualified wireless account.
  • Sign into MAX using he web browser, clear cache & cookies and try switching browsers to reset your online access.

Reboot your AT&T modem and WiFi router. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve the connection issue. Unplug your modem and router from the power source, wait for 10 seconds, and plug them back in. Wait for the lights to stabilize, then try to access Max again.
