Why is HBO Max not on Roku?

Why is HBO Max not on Roku???? It's been 2 months since launch. I stream everything through Roku. Please stop blocking your customers from service.

All,

HBO Max is now available on Amazon Fire TV and Amazon Fire tablet and Roku devices.

Just download HBO Max on your supported device, sign in through your TV, digital, or mobile provider, and start streaming.

Hope this helps,

AT&T,

Will you provide a place we can sign up for notification when you will have the HBO Max app available for Roku and Fire TV?

I'm sure that it will be announced publicly if and when it happens.

I'm holding my breath. ATT can (Edited per community guidelines) up a wet dream.

No HBO streaming app on Roku (or Amazon) due to ATT's unwillingness to make a deal.

All of us who got a subscription as a "free perk" in exchange for signing up for cell service with ATT should receive refunds in the amount of $15 a month (the subscription price for HBO) until they can come to an agreement. W/O this "free perk", I might have gone with Verizon...

Maybe that will get them more motivated to make a deal. Don't forget, ATT owns HBO (through Warner....)

so its all on at&t not amazon or roku? negotiations have been ongoing and the other 2 have been much more stubborn than at&t. they certainly arent going to refund you for a free service, they are supplying the free service its up to you to use a compatible device

I am HOPEFUL that when HBOGo is no longer available on Roku (July 31), HBOMAX will be available to take its place.  *fingers crossed*

I am hopeful, too, but that clock is ticking down pretty quick and all the media reports are that they are still far away from a deal.

Also wonder why "Constructive" was marked an "Accepted Solution"??? Because he/she is an employee? Since I asked the question on the community board, shouldn't I decide if his/her response is an "accepted solution"? (cuz it's not)... so I UN-ACCEPTED it as a solution.

It’s either marked accepted by other members (non employees as employees cannot mark accepted) or a bot that matches keywords to the original post.

Word on the street is that AT&T and Roku are working on a deal.

I'm hoping that since HBO Go will disappear on July 31, HBO MAX will take it's place.

I'm really annoyed at this.  AT&T should have been clear to me when I signed up for internet that it wasn't available on roku.  I only have roku so it's pretty worthless and I would have likely gone with spectrum at a lower price point.

If we have access to HBOMax why can't we also access HBOGo or Now on roku instead while they work out their issues?

I was so excited for HBO Max to launch because of Friends and The Big Bang Theory only to find out it isn't available on Roku. I gave it 2 months for them to make it available on Roku and canceled. Sure, it's available on Android and IPad, but who wants to sit in the evening and watch a phone or iPad? It's ridiculous.

AT&T, Roku, HBO Max - either get your act together, or a lot of customers are going to leave AT&T.

I signed up for the unlimited plan I am on partly because of being able to stream HBO free on my Roku.  I have no desire to watch movies on my phone or ipad or computer.

Before accessing it on HBO Go, we were able to access it on HBO Now - if you can't come to an agreement with HBO Max, then work it out so we can access HBO Now again.

I was told I was getting free HBO to stream on my Roku when I signed up.  Either work it out, or pay for my HBO through Amazon or Hulu or wherever - figure it out!
