Oops! Something went wrong! Please restart app

I keep getting this while watching friends, it happens about every 2 to 3 shows and will not keep playing? I have restarted, removed app and re-installed and nothing seems to work? anyone have same issue?

Hey Jeff,

thank you for responding, 

  • What service type is your HBO Max app related with?
  • Not sure if I follow you on this one, its through ATT on firestick
  • Have you checked HBO Max app for updates?
  • yes I have checked for updates to no avail
  • Did you clear the cache and cookies on your device?
  • yes I have cleared both, uninstalled the app from firestick and re-installed and still happens, even entered a new profile and still happens
  • So I'm really at a loss but it is still happening

Yes it is wireless plan that we are getting hbomax through, viewing on firestick,

It seems you are experiencing issues with the app itself more than logging into the app, meaning this could be a direct issue with HBO max. 

 

If you're still having trouble accessing HBO Max, please follow the steps listed here for immediate assistance.

 

Try playing different shows and movies to see if the problem happens with any show or movie, or only a particular show or movie. If the service error only happens with a particular show or movie, please contact HBOMAX directly and fill them in on the errors.
