My HBO Max account says my subscription is expired, but my AT&T plan comes with it.

I’ve tried logging out of all devices and logging back in. I’ve contacted hbo max, and no help there. I’ve also tried clearing cache and uninstalling then reinstalling app. Nothing has worked.

We understand your frustration with your HBO Max account showing an expired subscription, with it already being included with your plan, @bloopbleep


This is not the experience we want you to have. We also understand that you have done a quite a bit of troubleshooting on your end.  


This issue is usually caused when a customer has multiple products with us that were getting HBO Max included, and one went away.  For example, if you had wireless and DirecTV, you may have had HBO Max included with both of them.  However, you may have lost that bonus for one or the other product based on your plan or promotion expiring.  This can cause confusion in the system.


We first recommend using this resource to resubscribe to HBO Max.


Here's how to resubscribe on the web:

  1. Go to on your phone or computer.
  2. In the upper-right corner, choose Sign In.
  3. Enter your account email and password then choose Sign InCan't sign in?
  4. Choose the subscription plan that you'd like: Ad-Free or With Ads and monthly or yearly billing. To learn more, see HBO Max plans.
  5. Add your payment info and start your subscription.

Now you can sign in and stream HBO Max on all your favorite devices.
