Watch ESPN error message

When I try to watch Watch ESPN I am getting a message "Unable to Play Video 0066: No account returned from UPDA" What does that mean?

I got it too. Contacted suport via chat and this is what I got.

 

Please log out by hovering your mouse over your provider’s logo in the top, right-hand corner and selecting the “log out” option. If you do not see that, try clearing your cache and cookies, close your browser, then try to access WatchESPN.com again and log in with your home television provider. You can also try accessing WatchESPN.com via a different browser.

 

And it worked.

Are you joint billed? If so there are have been numerous issues with this.

 

Did you use your DTV creds to sign in? Are you using the website or the WatchESPN app?

 

If you continue to have issues, I would advise chatting with DirecTV so that they can assist an re-synchronize the account information if need be: DirecTV Contact Support

Directv had no solution....today 1/29/216...could not get it to play on laptop but no error message.

I got the message using AppleTV.  DirecTV is my provider.  AT&T customer support will send you to ESPN customer support.  ESPN will tell you it's not their error but an AT&T error message.  When I called AT&T again, customer support told me it was an AppleTV error message.  Solution =>. Log out of WatchESPN.  Disconnect AppleTV from Network (Internet connection).  Re-connect AppleTV to Network.  Choose WatchESPN to re-establish credentials.  Choose provider, receive activation code from ESPN.  Go to website and enter activation code.  I guess this is what UPDA means.

Having played this game many times, I've finally gotten the message. I use WatchESPN to view program provided on ESPN3, which is an Internet-based provider.  Telling WatchESPN who provides your TV service won't have any effect.  What you need to show is who provides your Internet service.  In my case, it's AT&T U-verse - not TV, just Internet.  When I log in using AT&T U-verse, I can watch anything I want on WatchESPN.

when you connect to the espn app like espn 3, according network, sportscenter replays, etc... it streams but no sound. works fine on phone and neighbors so it's my genie. any suggestions?

I can watch ESPN on my computer and on my Ipad, but when I try to stream it to the tv via ROKU, I get the "unable to play video 0066:No account returned from UPDA" message. I have been on the phone to AT&T, Samsung, ROKU, ESPN and Directv for hours today and no one can fix the issue. I am very frustrated. ESPN says it is a Directv error message and they deny it. I don't know what to do now.

Scroll to the bottom of watch espn app, go to help settings scroll to deactivate live tv click it, then turn it back on, it will give u a web site and a code, go to site give your provider and code and it will activate
