not getting sound or video

I'm not getting any sound or video when trying to watch something from DirecTv. The tv sound and video work perfectly fine when playing a dvd, but when I try to watch tv, nothing.

Hey, @jenthedragon. We'd be glad to help you get your video and audio working again.

 

Does this happen on every channel? Is this affecting just one receiver, or all of them? If you haven't already, we'd recommend trying these steps below.

 

  1. Refresh your Receiver, and wait 5 minutes.

  2. If your video and audio don't return after that, Restart your Receiver, wait for it to power back up, and then restart all other affected receivers.

thank you for responding.. it was on every channel but I saw others have this issue so I found the red button and pressed that, which did the reset/refresh and it worked fine :)
