Install or upgrade DIRECT TV Player

I get this error when trying to log in to watch TV... It tells me that I must install or upgrade DIRECTTV Player. I have been a customer for 5 years and have been watching TV on my laptop for the past 2 and a half years so I know that I have the DIRECT TV Player already and only need an upgrade. But cant upgrade because of the message below.

metrics.directv.com normally uses encryption to protect your information. When Google Chrome tried to connect to metrics.directv.com this time, the website sent back unusual and incorrect credentials. This may happen when an attacker is trying to pretend to be metrics.directv.com, or a Wi-Fi sign-in screen has interrupted the connection. Your information is still secure because Google Chrome stopped the connection before any data was exchanged.

You cannot visit metrics.directv.com right now because the website uses HSTS. Network errors and attacks are usually temporary, so this page will probably work later.

We're here to help, @SHarrisTX!

Could you let us know if you've tried any troubleshooting regarding this? At the moment we suggest clearing your cache and cookies on your Chrome browser, or trying a different browser entirely.

Let us know if this helps- we look forward to hearing back from you!

Donovan,

Thanks for getting back with a suggested solution. I have tried everything and am just frustrated now. I go home in a week and plan to take my laptop with me and hope I can get it worked out when I go back.

Right now it doesn't impact my NFL Sunday Ticket so I''m good. Will keep you posted as last Monday I was allowed to log on and watch TV but that was only day and this weekend I attempted thinking it was all good and it did the exact same thing as before that caused me to write the problem.
