DIRECTV On Demand Playback & Movie Download Issues - Error 927

error927.png

We all enjoy taking a little down time! Taking a walk, riding a bike or spending time with family are a few ways. Watching a movie is one thing we all enjoy, but sometimes that can be interrupted by pesky error codes. If you are trying to watch a movie and see Error Code 927, we have a few fixes that may help resolve this error.

Verify Your Internet Is Connected

DECA Connection & Status

If your system uses a DECA, make sure power is On and Network is Green. If equipment was moved, make sure everything is still connected. Sometimes cables may loosen or disconnect.

Reset The Modem

In some instances, a reset of the modem will resolve internet connection troubles. If you have a U-verse modem, click here for troubleshooting information.

Check The Internet Connection On The Receiver

Press the dash (-) button on the remote.

If you see Not Connected, perform the following: using the remote go to Menu > Settings & Help > Settings > Internet and select Reconnect Internet

Reset The Receiver

In some instances, a reset of your receiver is a quick fix. Near the access card is a red reset button. Press and hold that until the receiver reboots.

Chat With Us

In some circumstances, you will need to contact us to resolve this if the above steps do not work. We will need to know what On Demand Title you were trying to watch and what network that title is on.

I had called and and att ask which channels and shows and I said all of them..... Lol I end up giving them several channels and shows. In the end they said it had to b escalated again and they would send me an email me the solution!! It's been 3 weeks!! And yes I have done all the resets/receivers,modems, and double resets.

It is a sad situation. Directv has had its issues but never like this. I am having the same issue and the show is completely downloaded. Never have seen the playback issue if I waited for the program to download completely. Everything AT&T touches nowadays goes bad. I will be leaving DirecTv after being a customer for more than 10 years.

No, DTV has a separate box connected to the TV unless you are posting about the new DirecTV Now internet service then if the Bluray player has a web browser then maybe, You can ask this in the DirecTV Now forum on the main AT&T forum page.

It's freaking August. I've literally had this receiver less than a month. The old receiver just stopped recording completely. I can count 12 episodes of one show with this issue. The delete and rerecord idea doesn't work!!  "We're working on it" is a farce!!

It is September 4th. Just had DirecTV installed a week ago. So far not very happy. Receive this error code daily and often find when searching for the on demand, will tell me that no shows match what I am searching for. When I'm searching in categories and not for a particular show. DirecTV has no comedies? I find that hard to believe.

I have xfinity for my internet with 200mbps, so I know that's not the problem. I'm really starting to regret letting go of my tv package through xfinity. They were overpriced for sure, but at least reliable. Before I made the switch I checked into the on demand aspect of directv having previously having the service and that was one of my complaints only to be reassured that there was a selection of over 20,000 shows and movies. More like 200 and out of that, most of them are old movies from the 80's.

I implore Americans to realize we all got {edited for word filter evasion} by not busting any of these oligopolys while we had the chance. Now we pay 150 bucks a month to watch commercials. I implore you to all switch to all and stop paying these *****

From ATTDIRECTVCARE on Apr 13, 2017 2:48 PM :

"We apologize for the Error Code 927 with On Demand.  We are aware of the issue and are actively working to get it fixed."

It is now December 8, 2017, when are you going finish "working to get it fixed"?

We have the same issue  for 3 ,moths now and Direct TV has not resolved this issue. Such a hassle calling and getting the run around. Last night a woman that answered the phone after I was transferred to another department was shouting into the phone for me to speak louder. After raising my voice a few times she promptly responded, “Can you call back tomorrow we are in the middle of our Christmas party and it’s really loud in here and I cannot hear you.”

Umm....wait....what?  Nice customer service!
