Direct Tv grey screen

I had a problem with my genie mini and it worked for a long time. Then one day it suddenly stops working now it shows a grey screen. I can do anything but watch shows. I can use guide, menu, etc. But when I go to a channel it is just grey. The device I have is a c41-700. Ive tried resetting, the red button, but nothing works

Sounds like a defective  box then. Call DirecTV for a service visit .... 1 800 531 5000. They'll replace whatever needs fixing.

Also try resetting your main Genie DVR.
