771 code for hours during and after rain

We had rain around 2 am Tuesday morning and TV didn't come on until 2:30 pm next day. Had a service call but when it came back on, cancelled it. Now we had rain overnight and light rain now. Nothing on TV. A friend who has DirecTv said theirs is only out during a heavy rain. Please have someone fix it. Janet [EDITED]

771 is most likely a dish alignment problem, there are videos on youtube if you want to try it yourself otherwise you have to call to setup another tech visit.

Yes, your case, probably needs tech for dish re-alignment. You can run a Dish signal test via selecting the MENU on your remote and go from there.
