Using S30 remote with Yamaha TSR-7850

My S30 remote is programed to control my new Yamaha TSR-7850 audio/receiver. I can turn power off, mute, and adjust volume, but cannot turn power back on.

Has this always been the case or is this a new problem?

When you say "back on" under what conditions does the uverse remote turn it ON at all?

If you can never turn it on except with the Yamaha remote It might be that in Yamaha has some reason that their ON remote IR code is different from their OFF IR code. Or is there possibly some setting preventing it from fully powering down?

Try manually programming your remote with code 22467.  I had the same issue and this fixed it.

Here is is a link to the programming guide I used for my remote.

I am having the same issue.  My ATT remote used to turn my Yamaha receiver on and off, now it will turn it off but not on!
