TCL sound bar programming code

I found the TCL tv code but don’t see a code for audio programming. I have the TCL sound bar hooked up to my TCL tv. I need to seperately program the sound bar. Please help. The audio code is not in the S30 user guide, I have already looked

Hey, @Chund15!

Thanks for reaching out! We'd be glad to help you program your remote with your soundbar and TV.

Use this method to program your remote for TV or audio device brands that do not appear in the popular brand chart.

  • Remove the protective battery strip and ensure the device to be programmed is powered on.

  • Point the remote directly at the device you are trying to control/program and press MENU and OK simultaneously until the POWER key flashes red twice (three seconds).

  • Refer to the illustration and press the On Demand key to program your TV or the Interactive key to program your audio device.

  • While pointing the remote at your TV, press and hold down FAST FORWARD. It may take a few minutes for the device to respond.

  • TV programming: Let go as soon as the TV turns off and press POWER to turn the TV back on.

Audio device programming: Let go when the device mutes and press MUTE to unmute the device.

Use the volume keys to verify that the remote control is controlling the volume. If it does not work properly, repeat this process.

When using Auto-Search, the remote tests a code and flashes the POWER key once every 3 seconds to give time for the device to respond and for you to release the key. If TV programming is interrupted or inactive for more than 10 seconds, the POWER key flashes red for one long blink and exits programming mode. This means the remote has returned to normal operation without saving the changes.

Let us know if this helps!

I tried this a couple time for about 5 minutes until my thumb went numb holding the button. How many codes does it go through? Is it certain to have the programming possibility if I try this way longer.
thanks!

@Chund15.

It shouldn't need that long to do it, could you please provide us with the model of your TCL sound bar?

Hello @Chund15,

Thanks for providing the additional information.

Since the provided steps didn't help you connect to the TCL and we don't have the specific steps listed for the sound bar, we recommend going to the manufacturer for further support.

Please let us know if you need help with anything else.

Could you tell me what to ask? Or any specifications for the remote that may help them in assisting me?

thank you!

We're happy to assist, @Chund15!

When contacting the manufacturer for your soundbar, you'll need to provide them with who you subscribe to TV with, and the remote you're currently using.

The goal would be to see if it's compatible, or if there is a code to program and set it up the way you are wanting it to.

If you have any further questions, let us know! Thank you for being a part of our AT&T Community, and have a great day!

You will want to tell them that your ATT S30 remotes requires a 5-digit code.

FWIW doing a google search for "5-digit remote codes for TS5000 TCL Alto 5" does pick up the TCL site, TCL Roku TV Remote Codes.  While it does show a 4-digit could which may or may not work for a att S10 remote that doesn't do you any good with a S30 that requires 5-digi codes.

Another one of those search results led me to this page which showed a single 5-digit code for TCL audio, 54410.  Worth a try.
