Easement

AT&T has ran a cable down one side of my property line and across the back yard. I know the will tear up my back yard while burying this cable. Does AT&T have the right to tear up yard to supply another customer when there is an alternative way to run the cable. There is no easement where they are running this cable. Who should I contact at AT&T?

This has happened to me too.  They DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO ACCESS MY SIDE YARD or backyard SINCE THERE ARE NO UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED WITHIN MY PROPERTY LINES.  Who do I contact to complain. I do not give them permission to access my property to bury this cable.  THIS IS TRESSPASING ! They recently bored across the front of the property along the utility easement but apparently this wasn't good enough as they had trouble running their cable through the bored hole and decided to run it through my yard.  THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. Who do I contact? I am in SUMMERVILLE SC ZIP CODE 29485

You should pursue this through your local government. Often, the local auditor can point you in the right direction. You may also have some luck with the agency handling local codes and enforcement.
