U-Verse S30-S1B Remote and Sonos Beam?

I purchased a Sonos Beam sound bar and can not get the U-Verse S30-S1B remote to connect to it. Does anyone know if this is possible?

The Sonos app has a remote link tool and it starts by asking me to press Volume + once and it detects that, but the next step is to press Volume + 3 times and it will not detect that.

Is the S30-S1B RF or IR, or both?

We're here to help, @ronni_e!

While your sound bar isn't a part of the more popular brands that our remote can use, there are steps to make it compatible with the one you own.

  1. Remove the protective battery strip and ensure the device to be programmed is powered on.
  2. Point the remote directly at the device you are trying to control/program and press MENU and OK simultaneously until the POWER key flashes red twice (three seconds).
  3. Refer to the illustration and press the On Demand key to program your TV or the Interactive key to program your audio device.
  4. While pointing the remote at your TV, press and hold down FAST FORWARD. It may take a few minutes for the device to respond.
  5. TV programming: Let go as soon as the TV turns off and press POWER to turn the TV back on.
    Audio device programming:
Let go when the device mutes and press MUTE to unmute the device.
Use the volume keys to verify that the remote control is controlling the volume. If it does not work properly, repeat this process.

When using Auto-Search, the remote tests a code and flashes the POWER key once every 3 seconds to give time for the device to respond and for you to release the key. If TV programming is interrupted or inactive for more than 10 seconds, the POWER key flashes red for one long blink and exits programming mode. This means the remote has returned to normal operation without saving the changes.

Let us know if these steps have helped you get your sound bar working- we hope to hear back from you!
