Uverse DVR IPH8010 Red X Number 4

I have a DVR receiver that is failing to boot up. I did hard reset multiple times and got the “uverse not available” message or the DVR would boot up but no channels would be available to view in the guide section. On-Demand service works. 


I did a disaster recovery and now I get a red X with a number 4. Have tried multiple reboots with same red x - 4. 


-I rebooted the gate way multiple times. 

-internet works (wireless and wired)

-other wireless tv boxes in the house work 


any further ideas?

  1. Check the client location.
  2. Perform a format check to ensure a valid box is where is should be and provisioned.


Since disaster recovery didn't clear this problem it's time to call tech support (800-288-2020) to replace the dvr.  You will loose all your recording (well, you already did with the disaster recovery) but not you scheduling.
