Trouble connecting new Insignia TV to my ATT Uverse Box

New Insignia TV and there is trouble connecting my Uverse Box to it.  Using HDMI cable and ports and it is trying to connect - there are glimpses of what is playing on the box but then only static.  I have rebooted the box and the whole Gateway System.  On the input I can see the 3 dots when I rebooted but then the exact same static and glimpses of program

Let's help with your U-verse TV connection, @Msquelkta!

Thank you for letting us know which steps you've already taken to troubleshoot your connection.

We'd also recommend trying a different HDMI cord to connect your TV to your U-verse equipment. This will help us determine if the HDMI cord is the problem.

Do you have any other TV's in your home that you can try to connect to? If you're able to connect on another TV, this will help us determine if your current television is contributing to your lack of connectivity.

We look forward to hearing back from you!

Hello Lacey,

We actually did try an additional HDMI Cord and the box did work for at least 2 years on the previous tv with no issues.

I don't know if this information will help, but the glimpses we are able to see as it definitely is trying to connect seems to go through several different things- for instance we can see the wide screen guide or program that is playing and then the next glimpse we are able to see it is the  smaller screen guide with the black on both ends-   I hope that makes sense.

There is no error message that seems to appear- but once again it is just glimpses that we are able to see in between the static and sometimes a green screen on the right hand side

Thank you for that information, @Msquelkta!

Let's go ahead and move this conversation into a direct message. This way we can run some tests to see if it's an issue with the equipment. Be on the lookout for a chat notification in the upper right-hand portion of thepoage, next to the bell icon.

We look forward to speaking with you!

I bought an insignia fire tv and every morning I have to reboot my U Verse box to get to regular tv, it constantly tells me to check the DDMI1 cable, which I have changed and the TV works fine all day but when it's off over night, I get this error
