silver remote

I had to replace my silver remote but after programming the replacement, when powering up devices, the remote doesn't cycle from ATT-TV-DVD anymore, just ATT-TV. I have to manually push DVD button, push power the back to ATT. The original remote cycled through all 3 functions.

Hey there! We'd be happy to assist you with your remote control @ralphmans!

We recommend learning how to program your remote. This may help your remote cycle all three functions. You may follow the steps below to program your remote:

  • Find your TV Brand in the chart below and its corresponding number.

    1 LG, 2 Panasonic, 3 Phillips and Magnovox, 4 RCA, 5 Samsung, 6 Sanyo, 7 Sharp, 8 Sony, 9 Toshiba, 0 VIZIO

  • Press and hold the OK and Menu key at the same time for three seconds until the Power key flashes red twice to confirm you are in program mode.
  • Press On Demand to program the TV code. The Power key will light up red and stay lit.
  • While pointing the remote at your TV, press and hold down the number key for your brand. Let go of the key as soon as the TV turns off.
  • Confirm your code. Press the Power key on the remote control to turn your TV back on. Use the volume up/down keys to verify that the remote control is controlling your TV's volume. If this does not work, go back to step 2 and try again.

Please let us know if this works for you!

Hello, my problem is not programming the TV function, the AT&T and TV function work fine as intended. My problem is when I press power, the AT&T and TV functions work but the remote does not automatically turn on my programmed DVD function as it did earlier. When pressing the DVD button, I can control the DVD but then I have to go back to the AT&T button for normal operation. I press power to turn off the DVR and TV, press DVD and power to turn off the DVD.
