Red x and number 3 error

Hi I have tv and when I turn box on it comes up with a red x and number 3

This message indicates that your system is having trouble communicating. Try unplugging your receiver and waiting two minutes, plugging it back in, and then restarting.


If that doesn't solve the problem, unplug your Wi-Fi gateway and wait two minutes, then plug it back in and restart. This will temporarily disrupt your service.


You can also use the Troubleshoot & Resolve tool to find a quick fix. Just follow these steps:

  1. Press Menu on the U-verse Remote Control.   
  2. Scroll down to Help, then press OK.   
  3. Select Information.
  4. Scroll to Troubleshoot & Resolve, then press OK.   
  5. Select the service you want to troubleshoot and allow the interactive diagnostic test to run and complete.   
  6. Follow the onscreen instructions to resolve. Other options may include dispatching a technician or speaking to a Customer Care agent.
