Recorded playback

Recently purchased Vizio TV.   When I am watching a recorded program, pause it, turn off TV and come back later it is at the beginning.  It either is continue to play or just starting over.   I turn the receiver off so I don't see how it continues to play.

I do not feel this is Vizio issue.  The uverse receiver is what is playing back the recording, not the TV.

Did you try rebooting the receiver and/or the DVR?

Try running diagnostics on your receiver by following the steps from our guide on Fixing issues with your U-verse TV recordings:

  1. Press Menu on your U-verse TV remote control. 
  2. Use the arrow keys and scroll down to Help, then press OK.
  3. Scroll down to Information and press OK.
  4. Scroll right and select Troubleshoot & Resolve.
  5. Select TV from the top menu.
  6. Choose DVR and follow the prompts.

It is likely the U-verse receiver isn't turning off when you turn off the TV and it continues to play to the end.  Once you pause the show, exit to live TV and then turn off the TV and Rec'r.
