New TV receiver box getting account unavailable message

Just got a new tv receiver box and keep getting account unavailable message. Reset several times and same result

We are here to assist you set up your new TV receiver, @Nbheat1. If your new receiver is a  U-verse TV Wireless Receiver, you can follow these steps to set it up:

  • Unplug the existing receiver from the electrical outlet.
  • Remove the power cord. 
  • If possible, stack the new receiver on top of the receiver to be replaced. 
  • Carefully remove one connection at a time from the receiver to be replaced and reconnect to the new receiver. The connectors on the back panel of the new receiver may be arranged differently, but the names, shapes, and colors will be the same.

  • Before connecting the coaxial cable to the To Wall (Video In) port of the receiver, slide the clear plastic jumper sleeve over the front end of the connector on the coaxial cable, if the cable does not currently have one.
  • Be sure that the hex-shaped notch is seated firmly over the hex nut of the connector.
  • Using your fingers, apply sufficient force to tighten the connector to the receiver.
  • If your receiver is connected to the home network with CAT5 Ethernet cabling instead of the coaxial cable, plug the Ethernet cable into the Network port of the new receiver.
