Managed switch with DVR STB

I have an ethernet cable from the RG to a network port in my family room.  Then an ethernet cable to the DVR STB.  If I split that signal using a managed switch, like a Netgear GS105Ev2, and have a ethernet cable to the DVR STB, TV and Roku, will the DVR STB work or not?

I've read through multiple entries in this forum and I think this solution will work.
